Chart.J gives you two options for building charts: charting primitives, and a variety of prebuilt chart types. Mix and match any
combination of overlays to create composite chart types.

Access Data from Any Source

Chart.J allows you to bind to any data source, including JDBC and ODBC. Quickly and easily populate charting components with data from your database using DBTools.J and Chart.J components. Chart.J uses Model-View-Controller architecture based on the JavaBeans event model to provide for dynamic updates: charts automatically update as underlying data changes; you set the update interval or criteria. With built-in callback mechanisms, users can drill down to display underlying data. Includes support for JFC.

Chart.J provides:

• Prebuilt chart types in 2D, 2 1/2D, and 3D, including: multi-row, multi-column, and stacked bar charts; multi-row and stacked area charts; and line, pie, and scatter-plot charts.
• Properties for color, font size and types, scaling factors, titles, background patterns, axis labels, legend content and styles, and more.
• 3D canvas allows users to rotate, tilt, pan, and zoom their view of a chart.
• Overlay chart types, including: scrolling candlestick, high-low-open-close, bar, and line.
• Built-in support for Java Workshop^TM, JBuilder^TM, VisualAge^® for Java, and other Java IDEs that support bound properties.
